Traditional Program

The U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) is one of the largest character development and citizenship programs for youth in the world since 1916. It is a four-year program aim to teach high school student about leadership and develop individual characters.

Cyber Program

The Army JROTC Cyber Program is an innovative, four-year, cyber program that is part of the Army’s effort to infuse critical STEM curriculum in high schools across the country.

Extracurricular Activities

JROTC Cadets participate in a myriad of co-curricular activities to demonstrate their attainment of lesson outcomes. Cadets who complete 4 years of JROTC co-curricular activities and its challenging curriculum will be more college and/or career ready.

Our Cadets

Thomas Edison JROTC Inventor's Battalion are managed by our own JROTC Cadets. Each Cadet has a position and corresponding responsibility in the organization and each of our cadets serves a role and function in the Battalion. Our Cadets consists of mix level of LET 1-4 and CY 1-4 and they all work together to make our battalion successful.

-- 2024 JROTC Cyber/STEM Camp Host. Trained and mentored Cadets from 3 states for professional level cyber skills 

-- 2024 JROTC Academic Nationals Competition, Sponsored by College Option Association, Ranked 16 Nationally

-- 2024 JROTC National Cyber "Capture the Flag" Competition, Ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Nationally in Cyber 1 Category

-- 2024 NASP/JROTC Archery Eastern National, Ranked 18th Nationally in IBO/3D Division, 1st Place in Northeast Region

-- 2024 Vex Robotic World Championship, Ranked 54th Place Nationally in Opportunity Division

-- 2024 JROTC "Cyber Start" Northeast Regional Competition, Sponsored by SANs NetWar, 3rd Place

-- 2024 NYC Leadership and Academic League Competition, 1st Place in Acedemic Team, in League Category

-- 2023 JROTC National Cyber "Capture the Flag" Competition, Ranked 2nd place Nationally in Cyber 1 Category

-- 2023 VEX Robotic World Championship, ranked 11th place Nationally in Innovate Division, advanced to the Playoff

-- 2023 NYC Leadership and Academic League Competition, 1st place in Academic Team in Non-Leagues Category
